The most important sight within the town is the monument of Saint Peter (Monumento de San Pedro, address Loma de Luglli) and an interesting church to visit is the ´La Matriz´ church (Address Parque 13 de Noviembre).

The train station of Alausí is the place to board the train for the famous ´Nariz del Diablo´ train ride. This train ride takes you to the village of Sibambe through characteristic Andean landscape. The ´Nariz del Diablo´ (Devil´s Nose) is a steep rock wall along which the train zigzags its way up and down, making it an exciting train ride. In Sibambe you will visit the Puñuna Condor Interpretation Center. The train ride is a round trip starting and ending in Alausí. The trains have been modernized and since a few years it´s not possible anymore to sit on the roof of the train. More info: trenecuador.com/en/nariz-del-diablo-en
